GRANT FOR INNOVATION AND THE USE OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN THE BUSINESS SECTOR 2026

DESCRIPTION
A grant of 200,000 euros in aid to promote technological innovation and the use of new technologies with financial assistance to merchants, micro-enterprises, the self-employed and entrepreneurs.
BENEFICIARIES
The following may be beneficiaries: individuals, micro-enterprises, civil societies with legal personality, joint ownership communities, cooperatives and any other legal form of company that meets the requirements:
That they have their tax domicile in Colmenar Viejo.
That they are registered in the Census of Entrepreneurs, Professionals and Withholding Agents. The company must be active on the date of submission of the documentation.
That they have no outstanding debts with the Tax Agency, Social Security, the Community of Madrid, or with the Colmenar Viejo City Council.
For new business activities / entrepreneurship: those that were registered in the Census of Entrepreneurs, Professionals and Withholders from January 1, 2024. The rest of the business activities must be registered prior to this date.
In the case of a micro-enterprise, they must have the status of a micro-enterprise with fewer than 10 employees on staff.
That the economic activity subject to subsidy is directed to the final consumer and has started (registration in the Census of Entrepreneurs, Professionals and Withholders) before the date of publication of this subsidy.
In the case of online commerce, the City Council will confirm the operation of the website and/or payment gateway.
In the case of activities related to livestock: that they are registered in the Census of Entrepreneurs, Professionals and Withholders, in the activity related to the livestock / agricultural sector.
In the event that there is a commercial premises located in Colmenar Viejo and open to the public, which sells its products and services to the final consumer, and in any case it will be at the technical discretion of the City Council.
AMOUNTS OF AID
Applicants may receive a maximum grant of €2,000 for technological innovation expenses. All eligible expenses will be considered excluding VAT. In other words, VAT will not be eligible for funding under any circumstances. 50% of the submitted expenses will be subsidized. The €2,000 grant, based on a maximum expenditure of €4,000 (in eligible items), must have been invoiced and paid between January 1, 2025, and the date of publication of this grant.
ELIGIBLE CONCEPTS
Expenses for technological innovation and the use of new technologies, assumed by the applicant and included in the following list:
Expenses related to the acquisition of POS terminals, mobile terminals, laptops and desktop computers, tablets, video surveillance cameras and geolocation technology systems.
Expenses related to commercial modernization in visual merchandising.
Advertising-related expenses: social media, media outlets, signage.
Expenses related to the implementation of artificial intelligence.
Expenses related to the automation of production processes or the provision of services.
DEADLINE AND APPLICATION
The application period for these grants will be 30 working days from the day after the publication of the summary of the call in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCM).
The grant application, along with the relevant annexes and required documentation, may be submitted by individuals electronically by accessing the Colmenar Viejo Town Hall website, electronically through the Colmenar Viejo Town Hall Electronic Office [Electronic Office/Catalog of procedures/Economy and Employment] or in person, at the Colmenar Viejo Town Hall Registry Offices by prior appointment, or through the other means provided for in article 16.4 of the LPACAP.
Documents to be submitted with the application:
Application: Annex I, correctly completed, signed and stamped.
Documentation of the applicant's identity and, where applicable, the capacity for legal representation (ID card, NIF, power of representation or apud acta).
Annex II: List of eligible expenses with the enumeration of invoices submitted.
Certification of status in the Census of Economic Activities of the Tax Agency.
Certificate of the absence of debts to the Tax Agency, General Treasury of Social Security and Community of Madrid.
If applicable, proof of payment of outstanding debts to the Colmenar Viejo City Council.
Account Ownership Certificate
Annex III: Authorization to request tax information from the City Council's Tax Collection Service.
JUSTIFICATION
Deadline for submitting supporting documentation: In the seventh month following the award, the beneficiaries must provide the following supporting documentation to the municipal investigating body:
Beneficiaries must justify 100% of the subsidized amount.
For the justification of this subsidy, and prior to its registration, each interested party must appear at the Department of Business Development, Economy and Employment (Plaza del Pueblo, 1. Colmenar Viejo) with the original and a copy of the list of invoices for their corresponding verification and stamping.
Only expenses specifically indicated by the applicant in their application and clearly related to the activity will be considered. Invoices documenting eligible expenses must be listed in Annex II submitted with the application; invoices that do not comply with this requirement may be excluded from the total calculation.
Documentation for justifying the grant:
Tax Agency Census Situation Certificate, showing the registration date, tax address, economic activity and whether the activity is carried out in a specific location, updated to the date of submission of this justification.
Annex V: ordered list of all invoices charged to this subsidy for the items listed and supporting documents for bank payment of each invoice
Regarding the proper advertising of the funding for the activities, whether in shops (both indoors and outdoors), on websites, in publications, advertisements, or other media used to promote the subsidized activities, all advertising must be consistent with the City Council's corporate image. Documentation of the graphic, digital, or printed evidence must be provided. Failure to comply may result in reimbursement.
